Adios! Windows 7

It’s finally time to upgrade to Windows 10 as support for Windows 7 ends on January 14, 2020.

Here’s a recap of one of the best Windows OS ever:

Released on July 22, 2009, Windows 7 loved by both pc enthusiasts and professionals alike because of its simplicity and stability.

Its platform was mature, stable and offers a great amount of control over the way it behaves.

After the launch of the much critically acclaimed Windows 8 in October 2012 followed by Windows 8.1 and then eventually Windows 10 in July 2015, many power users stayed with Windows 7 because of its simple and familiar interface, privacy and customisability. 

With Windows 10 Microsoft demanded unprecedented access to user’s data and activity for targeted advertising.

Microsoft is providing Extended Security Updates(ESU) for Windows 7 Enterprise and Pro editions for three years but these are only applicable for Volume License Subscriptions and the extended support won’t come cheap with the price doubling every year.

As awesome as Windows 7  is there are a few downsides to staying with it past the end date for extended support as it would lack important security features such as latest antivirus protection, and other Windows 10 security features such as Device Guard, UEFI secure boot, Windows Hello which provide higher overall security for your system. How can we forget the latest Directx 12 support?

Windows 10 provides similar gaming performance but faster boot times when compared with Windows 7. Upgrading to Windows 10 can help futureproof your system or business as many software and hardware makers eventually stop providing support for legacy operating systems.

Its high time to upgrade to Windows 10 as many users have reported successfully fully activated upgrades from their previous Windows operating system using Microsoft Official Windows Installation Utility.

Windows 10 is a perfect combination of efficiency and customization of Windows 7 and the modern design of Windows 8.

It’s certainly time to bid Windows 7 Adieu !!
